The Ministry of Health and Prevention, in cooperation with concerned authorities, shed light on the National Program for Organ Transplantation during a press conference held in Abu Dhabi and chaired by H.E. Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for the Ministry’s Public Health Policy and Licensing, in the participation of Dr. Ali Al Obaidili, Chairman of the National Organ Transplant Committee and His Excellency (H.E.) Dr. Faisal Shaheen, Director General of the Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation, The program is pursuant to Federal Law No. 5 of 2016 allowing transplantation of human organs and tissues which was issued by H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.

H.E. Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Policy and Licensing of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) recently welcomed the continuing growth in the private health and pharmaceutical sector, which are its key partners in promoting a healthy society, and further highlighted that the Ministry constantly monitors and inspects health facilities to ensure that they comply with the country’s rules and regulations in line with the highest international standards.

Under the Ministry of Health and Prevention’s (MOHAP) strategy to spread awareness about health risks and provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to the best of global standards, the Ministry continues to provide early detection services for cancer and periodic examination of chronic diseases.  

The Ministry of Health and Prevention has launched its electronic licensing application and renewal services in line with its commitment to deliver distinguished government health services in accordance with the highest standards of excellence, professionalism, and leadership. As a result of this latest initiative, private health facilities and pharmaceutical institutions can now apply for and renew their licenses online. 

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) recently signed a strategic new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and cooperation with the European Resuscitation Council at the Ministry’s Training and Development Center in Sharjah. The agreement is aimed towards developing opportunities for further cooperation between the two parties and benefit from their expertise to promote the health and wellness of the UAE community through support and provision of health education based on the highest international standards.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) is participating at the 20th edition of the National Career Exhibition, which is taking place from February 7 to February 9, 2018, at the Expo Center Sharjah. The event, an integral part of the UAE government’s initiatives to successfully integrate national manpower into the country’s workforce, is held under the patronage of His Highness (H.H.) Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. The National Career Exhibition is aimed towards attracting students, graduates, trainees and job seekers to further promote the integration of young graduates into the human resources of government institutions and the private sector.
