The Ministry of Health and Prevention “MOHAP” and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, part of Mubadala's network of healthcare providers, signed an agreement to facilitate referral of patients from the Ministry's hospitals in Dubai and the Northern Emirates for critical and complex care. Under the agreement, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi will provide new therapeutic options in-line with the best international practices.

On the sidelines of the Arab Health 2019 Exhibition and Congress 2019, His Excellency Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence met Madeline Bell, President and CEO, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The meeting was attended by Mohammad Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention and assistant undersecretaries.

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) launched Prevention and Screening Unit as part of its ‘e-Etmnan’ program for regular screening of non-communicable diseases. This comes within the framework of MOHAP participation in Arab Health Exhibition & Congress (Arab Health 2019), which is being held between 28-31 January.

Within the context of its participation at Arab Health 2019 – Dubai 28 - 31 January, and within the framework of supporting and empowering mental health patients through specialized curative and awareness programmes, in addition to training young doctors on virtual reality experience in medicine, the Ministry of Health and Prevention “MOHAP” announced the launch of a number of digital solutions technologies in the mental and psychological field, which will lead to a quantum leap in the clinical practices field.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention “MOHAP” announced the exploitation of AI technologies to reduce waiting time in emergency departments with a view to managing the operational processes of hospitals by using the smart healthcare operation centre “PaCE”. The announcement comes within the context of a package of innovative projects MOHAP will showcase at Arab Health 2019 during the period from 28 – 31 January.
