Masafi Hospital, Al Qassimi Maternity and Pediatric Hospital accredited by JCIA, announces Ministry of Health and Prevention

The Ministry of Health and Prevention has announced that Masafi Hospital in Fujairah and Al Qassimi Maternity and Pediatric Hospital in Sharjah were granted separate international accreditations by the Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) after a rigorous assessment process conducted by fully certified arbitrators of the application of international accreditation standards. The JCIA team found that the two hospitals have complied with the best international practices, standards, and protocols for clinical services, patient safety, and manpower.

Ministry of Health and Prevention successfully takes part in WHO-sponsored simulation exercise for epidemic prevention

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), through the Centre for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Operations, successfully took part in a training simulation exercise designed to help measure global preparedness in the event of the occurrence of an epidemic. The exercise is coordinated by the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Global Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) and the EOC Network, a global network of health emergency operations centers.

Ministry of Health and Prevention signs MoU with Tabuk Pharmaceuticals to ensure delivery of medical supplies during emergencies

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) announced the signing of a strategic agreement with Tabuk Pharmaceuticals for the supply and distribution of medical and pharmaceutical stocks during emergency situations. The agreement falls in line with the efforts to strengthen the UAE’s health security, according to the Cabinet Decision No. 39 of 2015. The supply and distribution of drugs in this manner is a crucial precautionary measure taken by most countries, including those who manufacture drugs.
