Healthcare Issues Ministry of Health hosts visit of World Health Organization experts
The Ministry of Health’s Laboratory and Blood Bank Department recently hosted a visiting team of experts from the World Health Organization that facilitated a special training session for technical and administrative teams assigned at the Ministry’s various laboratories and blood banks. The four-day workshop, which saw the attendance of 30 participants coming from different hospitals and centres, aimed at improving the performance and quality management of local laboratory facilities.

Sheikh Mohammed’s declaration of 2015 as ‘Year of Innovation’ UAE , 10 October 2015 – The Ministry of Health’s - Health Centers and Clinics Department has launched today (Saturday, October 10, 2015) an interactive training program called ‘Innovation Trip’ to improve the work performance of the department’s employees and instill in them a culture of creativity. Covering a series of educational tours, ‘Innovation Trip’ is under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Hussein Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary for Health Centers and Clinics, and is being implemented in cooperation with Lundbeck, a Danish international pharmaceutical company.

Healthcare Issues Ministry of Health cancels 6 month credentialing period
UAE, October 10, 2015 – The Ministry of Health has cancelled the six-month period required for heath entities to conduct credentialing for licenses of doctors and people working in the UAE health sector. Physicians and technicians can now transfer their licenses as soon as their credentials are issued.
