It aims to increase community awareness about the importance of physical activity, healthy food, and abstaining from tobacco. It aims to boost community’s capability to adopt healthy lifestyles, create a supportive healthcare environment, and encourage involvement of local communities and civil society organizations in the promotion of health awareness programs.

‘Art for Health’ competition is another innovative way to raise health awareness and encourage the youth to support, get involved in, and make a difference in the Ministry’s efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle.

The initiative aims to raise the awareness of MOHAP employees about the early detection of hypertension disorders and highlight the risk factors for cardiovascular disease. The first such initiative to improve workplace environments and contribute to promoting the health life quality of the employees.

The campaign is part of various programs and initiatives launched by the Ministry of Health and Prevention to reduce the prevalence of obesity in the country, through enhancing community awareness of the risks of obesity to human health. In line with the National Agenda 2021 which aims to reduce rates of cancer disease, as well as diabetes and heart diseases where obesity is considered a key factor in these diseases.

The Declaration of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, making 2019 the 'Year of Tolerance' reflects one of the UAE's founding principles of promoting peaceful co-existence and acceptance among peoples of different nationalities, identities, and cultural backgrounds. Entrench for the UAE as a global capital aims to maximize the value of tolerance, through a combination of legislation and policies which deepen the values of tolerance, dialogue and acceptance and openness to different cultures.

In line with the efforts of the Ministry of Health and Prevention to promote a healthy community through providing comprehensive and innovative healthcare services at par with global standards to become a role model in the field, the Ministry has launched the Travelers Health Clinic Initiative in several preventive medicine centers in order to assess the health risks associated with traveling and the health status of travelers. In addition, the initiative intends to carry out important medical tests, and identify the types of vaccinations that may be required depending on the destination, as well as provide a health information card containing basic traveler's profile and medical records.
