Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, stated that it is necessary for all health centers to coincide with the requirements of the century and satisfy the basic needs of the residents in order to save time, effort and at the same time ensure the best health services. This was said during his visit to Al Ittihad Health Center in Dubai where he was accompanied by Dr. Hussein Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary for Health Centers and Clinics.

The Ministry of Health and Bee’ah, the Middle East’s leading and award winning integrated environmental and waste management company, signed a memorandum of understanding pact to recycle materials that are consumed by the Ministry of Health, damage these materials and dispose them safely. The memorandum of understanding states that the ministry to improve the friendly environment policy and use wastes after their treatment and recycling.

Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health lauded the efforts of the JCI team in Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Center headed by Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Health Policies and Licensing.

The National Higher Committee for Blood Transfusion in the Ministry of Health held its meeting at the premises of Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Center headed by Dr. Hussein Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary for Centers and Health Clinics and Chairman of the Committee in the attendance of a number of representatives from the Ministry of Health, local health authorities, Zayed Military Hospital, UAEU and Sharjah University as well as government hospitals.

Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health visited Saqer and Obaidallah hospitals in Ras Al Khaimah as part of his site visits to the facilities of the Ministry of Health. The undersecretary was accompanied by Dr. Youssif Al Serkal, Assistant Undersecretary for Hospitals Sector.

The maternal and child health section in the Ministry of Health began taking the necessary procedures and precautions for applying the hearing disorder early screening program for newborn babies in the public hospitals of the northern emirates to be circulated in all the private hospitals that follow the medical districts at a later stage.
