Ministry of Health encourages Innovation in Pharmaceutical Sector

In a speech delivered on behalf of the Ministry of Health during the announcement of strategic partnership between the Ministry of Health and Sanofi Aventis and Global Pharma in Dubai Investment Park, Dr. Amin Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Policy and Licensing, stated that such a partnership opens the field towards the global industries of innovative drugs and medical equipments in the UAE. The Ministry of Health continues to give support to the private sector as a regulator of the pharmaceutical industry, its infrastructure and modern techniques that would serve investment in the pharmaceutical sector. The private sector is seeking for producing its innovative drugs in the UAE thanks to the support of the wise leadership and encouragement of investment in the health sector generally and pharmaceutical field specifically.

Ministry of Health Undersecretary Visits Obaidallah and Sheikh Khelifa Gynecology and Obstetrics Hospitals

Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, visited Ibrahim Bin Obaidallah in Ras Al Khaimah and Sheikh Khelifa Gynecology and Obstetrics Hospital in Ajman accompanied by Dr. Youssif Al Serkal, Assistant Undersecretary for Hospitals Sector. The purpose of the visit was to review the scope of work in all the departments and acknowledge the services that are provided for the patients in preparation for obtaining the international accreditation.

Ministry of Health warns againsst using water diet capsules

Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Policy and Licensing at the Ministry of Health stated that it has been noticed the spread of buying and selling through internet without knowing the identity of both buyers or sellers. Unfortunately, such purchase operations make internet sources sell medical and healthy products such as supplements and cosmetics without knowing their substances. Some of these products are not registered neither in the UAE or internationally and are not supervised by the Ministry of Health. Additionally, the promoting companies or individuals are all outside the country are away from liability or legal prosecution.
