Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health met with Excellency Milos Perisic, Charge D’affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in his office in Abu Dhabi to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries. Attended by Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary of Public Health and Licensing.

For the first time in the UAE, a heart operation for coronary heart disease was successfully conducted at Al Qassimi Hospital cardiac centre by a robot. The operation was successfully conducted on a 62-year-old Emirati man from Fujairah on Nov 27.

The Ministry of Health organized a workshop about improving the policy of mental health in the public sector in cooperation with the World Health Organization lately. The medical licensing committee in the Ministry of Health revokes the licensing of a doctor from the medical licensing registry in the UAE for fringing medical ethics in the country.

The executive office for the GCC Health Ministers Council launched the health media Gulf excellence Third award and increased its value from $ 50-$100 thousand US Dollars to include eight fields and broaden its participation in the entire gulf region.
